Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti have several sober housing programs with varying levels of structure and support.

Sober living homes are sober, safe, and healthy living environments that support recovery. Residents are expected to abstain from alcohol and drug use and follow program rules.

Program requirements vary, but may include:

  • participation in treatment services;
  • participation in mutual aid meetings;
  • employment; and/or
  • community service.
